I opened my mail the other day to find the following letter from Bank of America to inform me of some amendments to my credit card agreement. Pay special attention to the parts in yellow.

Yesterday, I got together with two of my former college roommates at one of their houses because, let's face it, nobody wants to go to work on a Friday. Two of us already own Wiis and I am confident that the other one isn't far from purchasing one himself and we thought that it would be nice to meet up and relive our glory days by playing some WiiSports.

After a few hours of revelry, the entire family included, we decided to see just how hard it is to be good at Wii Tennis and see if my friend's cat wanted in on the action. He quickly wrangled the cat and gently placed the loop of the Wiimote wrist strap around the cat's neck. Now before you go all crazy, calling us criminally negligent, and contacting PETA, know this. This cat desperately wanted to play tennis. I promise you.

Anyway, with the strap around its neck (not cinched at all) my friend began to lower the cat back to the ground. We could only surmise that the cat's wild flailing was merely a display of intense eagerness to show us all how the game was meant to be played. In any event, the cat hit the ground running and ended up catching my Wiimote on one side of a chair leg and proceeded to exit the room rapidly by way of the other side of the leg, ripping the strap from the controller.

I am happy to report that the cat survived unscathed and we are all a little bit wiser for having witnessed the affair. I still maintain pets are keen on taking their turn on the Wii (For instance, I am confident that my pet goldfish, Reginald, could bowl a 300 given the opportunity), but let's play it safe people.

(No animals were physically injured, emotionally maybe, in bringing your this tale of Wii gaming woe.)

I just did some counting and I know owe you all more pictures than I originally took. One hundred and twenty one to be exact. So I had better get on it. I know that I won't be able to take enough good photos to make up for this absence but hopefully I will be able to get a few shots off a day that are worthy of posting. In fact, I moved down to Pittsburgh a little over a month ago, so I have a totally new subject for photos. Although I did enjoy trying to find beauty in Schenectady. Well, I am going to go and take a quick shower and have some breakfast and then I will take a few shots. Sorry for being gone so long. Enjoy!

Yes, I realize that I have missed about a hundred posts, but I had a very busy summer taking care of high school kids at Campus Kids Connecticut, so please forgive me. This is not even to say that I am going to begin posting again regularly, even though I know that I should. I know it is pretty pathetic that I haven't been able to keep up with this. In any event, here are two photos that I took while I was on vacation with Emily in Maine one weekend this summer.

I am a terrible waste of life and haven't been able to get my act together and post my photos in almost three whole weeks now. I know it is pathetic and I am working on remedying the problem because I don't want to abandon this yet. I am working as a summer camp counselor for the next eight weeks and I just finished up my week of orientation. I am working on getting internet access at camp so that I can keep up with my posting. Here we have a nice macro shot of the dusty thermostat in the hallway. The glass tube at the top holds a small amount of mercury that completes a circuit when the coil heats up and changes length, causing the tube to tilt downward.

The Nott Memorial and its reflection in a puddle by the rugby field. I think that most students at this school take the Nott for granted, including myself on nine out of ten days. It is really a magnificent structure and I am going to miss walking by it everyday.

After spending a significant amount of time filming and editting a video that I made for my Real and Recorded Time class with Harrison Paras, I decided that it turned out too good to just sit on my computer. Basically we had only three hours to plan and film a movie incorporating three words that were given to us at random by Fernando (our professor).
